So this summer I am perfectly content to dress in bright colors and short hemlines… granted that is my M.O. every year, but this season I am much more apt to mix the brights and color-block away my days. I am consistantly drawn to Pink and Yellow– whatever the shade — from coral to fluro and marigold to neon, I just love these two bright lively colors together. So hop on the pink lemonade band wagon and brighten up your summer with these to die for picks.

Happy Shoesday Everyone!

So this is what summer shoe heaven looks like to me. Bright colors, a PVC T-strap, a nice chunky heel, and a little Ombré to boot. Oh the things I would do to … with this amazing sandal. Do your feet a favor and pick up this quintessential piece of shoe perfection here or here.

On a side note, I am horribly sick and trying to recover from my Amaaaazing weekend in NY. More will come later this week. But for now lots of Tea, Rest, and answering work e-mails.

Hiiii Lovies!! I don’t know about you, but this lady is READY FOR VACATION!!! Bring on the sun, bring on the sand, bring on the relaxation! I am headed over to the Hampton’s this weekend with the BF’s fam for a wedding and some fun, and I am beyond excited. Hello over-packers anonymous. I will def be bringing a variety of lengths, colors, and prints with me on this beach-side escape and proper sun protection of course, but I am most excited to bring Andy Cohen’s new book to read while getting a mean tan.

Rainy Day Kicks and almost summer.

Okay people, so mentally I have been on Summer vacation. My brain zone has been all palm trees, waves, sand, and maragritas. HOWEVER, the rain has not stopped for one day in “sunny” South Florida, and I am at a loss here. I mean, I try to fight off the gloomy feeling weather by embracing sheer leopard prints and a swipe of red lipstick, but there is only so much a girl (and her frizz-prone hair) can take! So dearest rain gods, please let up for just a little so I can enjoy just a few hours of my weekend? Pretty Please! Thanks, your new BFF — Shay

Beyond having cabin fever, this pseudo monsoon season we have been experiencing has really tested my shoe patience, as well. I sadly lost my adorable Marc Jacobs rain boots to my boyfriend’s over-zealous shoe-chewing pup a few months back. I had not been able to bring myself to replace them, until I spent my 8th straight rainy day walking to starbucks in open toed heels. I have since decided that enough is enough and I am ready to get back on the rubber boot train. But what to choose? Spy some killer options below.

If only I could be as Euro-chic as my fave blogger The Blonde Salad on these rainy lazy days…

So I have this need to keep it simple in the summer, and it really doesnt get much more simple than a plain white tee, right? WRONG! There are so many options to consider; length, knit weights, fabrics, collar cuts, even SPF coverage (yes, your clothes have an SPF factor!) when selecting your T-Shirt it makes even the simplest desicion a tedious mind boggling disaster. Fortunately, I have 6 amazing choices for you to simplify your selection process. I own 3 of these, my favorite being my T by Alexander Wang short sleeve shirt– it’s the perfect fabric blend, ultra soft yet not too sheer, I seriously wear it for days at a time, it’s my t-shirt soul mate. I also love my J. Crew perfect fit tee, which I own in a few colors, and I find it is always a great go-to for most weekend excursions. I have the Splendid V-neck tee as well, and although the feel isn’t quite as luxurious as my A. Wang, the looser fit is adorable and super flattering when worn over denim cut offs. All in all, one really should own a nice white tee or two (beyond those packaged Hanes shirts from Target), and you will be astonished how much easier it makes your summer outfit selection, on those days when you’d rather be outside soaking up the sun rather than rummaging through your closet. PS. I am LUSTING after the Isabel Marant tee, I feel like it will be even more life changing than my Alexander Wang T is, but I cannot bring myself to spend $175 on a plain white shirt… however if any of you sale savvy fashionistas find one on sale, do alert me ASAP. Thanks!
